About the presenter

Tony Adams has over 13 years experience in the Australian Fixed Income Markets. He commenced his finance career in 1987 with the NSW Treasury Corporation, advising clients on their debt management requirements before taking over the management of the Treasury Corporation’s own balance sheet. His role encompassed the setting of strategic plans, benchmark creation, risk measurement and control, systems development as well as the active trading of the Corporation’s own debt positions. At NSW Treasury Corporation the portfolio that Tony was managing was in excess of $25 billion.

In 1994 Tony joined Westpac’s Investment Management team managing a wide variety of short and long term investment portfolios. He specialised in the credit and structured debt markets and the use of innovative investment and risk management structures.

Tony is currently responsible for the management of a globally diversified bond fund for Commonwealth Investment Management.

Tony has a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Economics and Finance and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) as well as registered representative status with the Sydney futures exchange, and is an AFMA accredited dealer.
